I used this to cut my husband's hair and it worked just fine. He has really thick hair and I didn't have any trouble. I like that there are choices for cutting length and while I have a hard time getting them off and on, that's a me thing, not a problem with the trimmer. I liked the fact that this charged much faster than our old hair trimmer and it kept the charge much longer too. I would say that this set would benefit from about a ten dollar price drop just to make it more appealing to other buyers, but really its performance is great for what I used it for.
Its a very nice grooming set. The trimmer is comfortable and easy to use. Feels heavy in the hand. The led display is very bright. Cuts hair well. It comes with a pouch and multiple guards for different sizes. Overall nice set, would make a good gift too.
When I opened the box to take the razor out it was covered in oil, so much so that I dropped it out of the box. I had to wipe it down several times before I could get a grip on it. When I did I was very disappointed. It has a premium look and feel to it but its performance isn't anything close to premium. I'm not a huge fan of finding the right guard for the length you want, I prefer a dial system on the razor to find it. I feel when you use guards they tend to miss hairs and that was the case with this razor. I knew this when I purchased the razor so I'm not upset at it. The biggest issue is the fact that even on the highest setting the razor cuts poorly. I have a pretty short beard and the razor had issues cutting it, even without a guard on it. Trying to edge with it is even worse. Between the cost of the razor and its look and feel I thought it was going to perform extremely well but it didn't. More money should have gone into the functionality of the razor as opposed to putting it all into the look and feel.
This is an excellent little trimmer that's easy to use. The digital readout is clear, and the on/off button feels like quality, and I have yet to recharge it since it arrived last month. I used it about four times a week. Be careful with it. My angling must be exact, or my face gets nicked, I bleed, and I have to wear those silly bits of toilet tissue on my face. It has a learning curve.
Trimmer works great. I love that it comes with a travel bag as well. It looks durable and can be a great gift material. I highly recommend it.
